Great device! Still going after 5 years, freezes now a couple times a month but just needs a reboot and everything is fine. Can't complain since it's already 5 years old. Have several apps and still has memory left. As great as it is I don't think I can justify the price for a streaming device that's 5 years old. There are a few that are very comparable at a cheaper price.

The brand new unit I received has an HDCP issue. I have a new HDMI cable coming in today that is known working & recommended for use with the Shield Pro (https://a.co/d/gQg9bk5). I picked one up from Walmart in the meantime that SHOULD have worked, but it did not. I will update if the new cable fixes the issue.Without HDCP working, you're stuck with 720p, and Amazon, Netflix, etc will all error out. YouTube will works, and I can actively stream at 1440p with my existing cables.Xbox GamePass and GeForce Now both work fabulously though, and the device is strong enough to play quite a few Android games from the Play Store along with various emulators. Device is powerful, and with the USB 3 ports, fast, expandable storage is a possibility. You can also easily connect a keyboard and mouse, and it also supports various controllers.Setup, as with all Android streamers, was a breeze.Will gladly update of 5 stars once I get my HDCP issues resolved. Currently working with Nvidia support on that.Update: new HDMI cable did not fix the issue. Now we wait to see what Nvidia does. All indicators point to a bad HDMI port at this point. I'm sure I could go through Amazon for a replacement, but this isn't their fault; it should be addressed by Nvidia.

For one thing setting up the remote was a hassle. I had to do half an hour of troubleshooting to get the remote set up to sync with the box. Not only that, the remote will randomly stop working and I'll have to manually unplug the box and take the batteries out of the remote, then reset them.The Nvidia box doesn't play a lot of videos I have in my collection. Videos the roku can play without any issues (all my videos are in mp4 format). I have to run the videos through MKVtoolnix to get them to work on the NVIDIA box.The NVIDIA remote is bulky with its triangular shape. Also the placement of the netflix button right below the rewind button and volume down button means I've accidentally hit this useless button a few times while trying to change the volume.When you fast forward or rewind, it doesn't actually show where in the movie you are fast forwarding or rewinding to. It also will constantly freeze up if you fast forward too much.Other than the 4k upscaling, which is decent, its inferior to a roku box in every way.
